Competition
Here at Globalbouldering we like to win stuff. We also like other people to win stuff, so we figured that we would start having competitions. You never know what kind of competitions might pop up here. To be honest, neither do we.
Picture of the Day-Competition - Ended
The winner of the first competition was Anssi Laatikainen from Vasa in Finland.
Our first competition! We want you to send us your best bouldering pictures. From those we choose the best pictures and they will be featured as Picture of the Day for 30 days.The competition will start September 15th and end October 15th. (There is no last date for sending us your contribution, but the earlier we get your picture, the better are your chances) During this period you can grade the pictures you like (or dislike).
The picture with the best average grade after the competition period is over will win. And what will the happy winner get?
We have a super duper price from Fjällsport in Göteborg, Sweden.
- One ARCTERYX chalk Bucket, color: Lime
- One BLACK DIAMOND Brush set
- One roll of DMM 25mm finger tape
- One CLIMB ON bar!
So what do you have to do to participate?
But I want to send several pictures. Can I do that?
Sure you can. If you want to participate with several pictures you have to prioritize your pictures. The one with highest priority is our first hand choice when choosing pictures. If there are less participants than 30, we will use peoples second hand choices.
Where do I send the picture?
You e-mail the picture, along with the texts, to pontus@globalbouldering.com. We appreciate if you save the pictures so that they are not huge (preferably less than 2 MB). 1024 x 768 is quite enough. If you are sending several pictures, please keep each mail under 5 MB. Remember to prioritize your pictures clearly, especially when splitting them between several e-mails.
What will happen with the pictures that are not among the 30 choosen ones?
The pictures not among the 30 featured as Picture of the Day during the competition might become Picture of the Day some other time. When participating in the competition, you have given us your ok to use the picture/s you have entered the competition with for this purpose.
Arrrgh!! But I have already uploaded my best pictures to my personal gallery!
No problem, send us the picture again. However, do not send us an e-mail where you write that you want one of your gallery pictures to enter the competition. Just send it again with you username and the texts.
Where can I see old pictures when I want to vote?

- First of all, you have to be a member of the site.
- You need to send us at least one picture, with a catchy header text and a descriptive text about the picture. Also remeber to write your username on www.globalbouldering.com in the e-mail. Send your e-mail to this address: pontus@globalbouldering.com.
- Tell all your friends to grade your picture!
